Mary DeWalt, MIRM

Since 1983, Mary has been working with home builders and developers across the country and has won numerous local, regional and national industry awards for Interior Merchandising Excellence.

Mary is recognized nationally as a leader in the field of model home merchandising. She is a frequent speaker at the International Builders Show as well as state and local conferences.

In 1997, Mary received the coveted MIRM (Master in Residential Marketing) designation and is a certified instructor of IRM III, Lifestyle Design and Merchandising. She is a frequent contributor to Sales and Marketing Ideas Magazine, 50+ Housing Magazine and other industry publications.

For over 20 years, Mary has been active in the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin as well as the National Association of Home Builders. She was the 2003 Chairperson on the National Sales and Marketing Council and 2006 President of the Institute of Residential Marketing. Mary serves on the Institute of Residential Marketing and National Sales and Marketing Council Boards of Trustees and the Executive Board of the HBA of Greater Austin. In 2007, Mary received the Trina Ripley Excellence in Education Award from NAHB's Institute of Residential Marketing. The award was given for "her outstanding lifetime achievements in educating new home sales and marketing professionals and helping to achieve the goals of the Institute of Residential Marketing." She was also honored to receive the Bill Molster Award from the National Sales and Marketing Council in 2009.
